Peace Ambassador 2018 on this February celebrated Valentine’s Day with the children of orphanage in Gianyar. The activity was done for the first time as the concern form of them to children who needed love. The event titled Mini Charity of Peace Ambassador 2018 with “Small Charity with Peace and Pure Empathy” theme.
The event was started at 15:00 WITA with introduction and greeting from the committee chairman Juandry Simanjuntak then greeting from orphanage caregiver named Patrisbria. In his greeting, Mr. Patribria told that the children of orphanage which total 25 people are orphans from different religion. They left by their parents and some of them have backgrounds of family economic problems so that they were boarded out in this orphanage. Average of the children is still in elementary school with the age among seven years until twelve years old. Meanwhile, committee chairman Juary Simanjuntak told the purpose of this event was to share love to children of orphanage apart gave some basic food and stationary. The event was continued with a guessing word game, discussed about peace of orphan’s perspective, handed out a gift to the winner of the game then had dinner and took pictures together.
Batu Penjuru Orphanage is located in Jl. Tegal Harum, Batubulan, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency – Bali. There are approximately 25 people of orphans who live in that orphanage with one married couple which is Mr. Patrisbria and Mrs. Lina Ioutani. This orphanage established since September 2009 and was established by Ps. Henry Lenon Parera. At the beginning, Batu Penjuru Orphanage was located in Denpasar, more precisely in Gatsu, then moved and has been being located in Gianyar for a year. The replacement of caregiver was also happened three times because there were caregivers who went out of Bali.
The work program of Peace Ambassador 2018 was expected to be a guideline to the other work programs which has a quality to educate and motivate today’s teenagers to do positive activities for their selves, Family and Environment.
